School of Law, Accounting and Finance

The School of Law, Accounting and Finance has a vibrant research community. Law lecturers engage in a variety of research activities which result in the presentation of papers at conferences, the publication of journal articles and textbooks and the acquisition of research grants. Staff members work in a range of research centres across the University, including: the Law, Accounting and Finance Research Group; the Business Accountability and Responsibility Centre and the Centre for Gender Studies in Wales, which regularly host conferences and seminars.

By providing a common and organised forum for the research community, we aim to:

- Develop a thriving research culture that encourages and mentors new researchers
- Engage in both academic and applied research in our areas of expertise
- Feed research into teaching and work towards research-led learning
