If you want to study on the BSc (Hons) Police Sciences Degree but don’t have the right qualifications, this one-year foundation course will help you build the skills, knowledge and confidence to progress to higher level studies. If you pass the Foundation Year in Police Sciences, you’ll have guaranteed progression to the first year of our BSc (Hons) Police Sciences degree.
USW's Police Sciences degree will prepare you for the challenges of modern policing and related professions, such as the UK Border Agency, security organisations (MI5/MI6), the National Crime Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, the military police, and private organisations that provide a policing function.
You’ll develop knowledge and practical applications of criminal law, scenes of crime, criminology, police management, and the latest aspects of criminal investigation. You’ll also gain policing and management skills for use at all levels, from managing yourself to planning large policing operations.
