Description
USW's Police Sciences degree will prepare you for the challenges of modern policing and related professions, such as the UK Border Agency, security organisations (MI5/MI6), the National Crime Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, the military police, and private organisations that provide a policing function.
You’ll develop knowledge and practical applications of criminal law, scenes of crime, criminology, police management, and the latest aspects of criminal investigation. You’ll also gain policing and management skills for use at all levels, from managing yourself to planning large policing operations.
On our Police Sciences degree, you will gain a detailed understanding of policing as you learn what it takes to be an efficient police officer who is ready for the challenges of the 21st century. From cybercrime and digital forensics to community safety and protecting the vulnerable in society, your learning experiences will make use of the latest technology.
We devised our Police Sciences course by consulting with the police service and the College of Policing, so what you learn is relevant and meets specific requirements set by police forces. Follow USW Police Sciences on Twitter.
