Description

Carry out advanced training to develop ground-breaking research in the governance of science, technology and innovation (STIP). This option is hosted by the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR), a world-leading centre of excellence in the study of science, technology and innovation policy and management.

Programme structure

Year 1

You acquire key theoretical and methodological skills through a series of compulsory courses, plus additional electives designed to enhance understanding in novel methods and specifically tailored content around science, technology and innovation policy and governance.

Participate in STIP seminars and the activities of MIoIR
Presentation and job market skills training
Present your work at conferences
