Complexity is a multidisciplinary subject linking mathematics, statistics and computer science with application areas in engineering, life and molecular sciences, and social sciences. Some of the challenges are in the development and application of mathematical tools, including in complex network theory, information theory, statistical mechanics, and others. The School of Mathematics has ongoing collaborations with staff in the School of Biological Sciences, Engineering Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Economics, as well as Philosophy.
