Description

This innovative degree will enable you to develop a strong theoretical and practical appreciation of human physiology with particular focus on physical activity and health. It is designed to provide you with knowledge and understanding of scientific investigation and current issues in relation to human physiology, physical activity and health.

Typical areas of study include cell and molecular biology, physical activity and health, physiological systems, cellular physiology, human movement science, neuroscience and pharmacology, current issues in physiology, neuromuscular physiology and cardiovascular science.

The degree combines the teaching strengths of the University’s School of Healthcare Science, a long-standing provider of education in the life and health sciences with the internationally regarded research strengths of the School.

This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology for the purpose of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).
