Entry requirements for research degrees

following programmes are available for research students:

(a) MPhil

(b) MPhil/PhD

To complete a PhD you will normally be required to enter the programme on an MPhil route and undertake an upgrade to PhD process durng your studies.

To apply you should possess a UK Honours degree, normally with at least an upper second class honours, or an academic or professional qualification which is deemed to be equivalent.

For International applicants whose first language is not English or Welsh a minimum overall IELTS Score of 6.5 is required.
