Description
Our Architectural Design Technology degree explores how design and technology work together, giving you a practical working knowledge of both areas - crucial to successful conception, evaluation, design, construction and eventual use of buildings and built environment schemes.
You will develop knowledge of how designs will be developed and built and the implications of choices in structure and materials in order to lead the way with cutting edge design.
The industry emphasis throughout the course prepares you for employment. Previous graduates from this degree have followed careers as CAD and BIM technicians, project managers, property developers and product designers, as well as running their own architectural technology practice.
The course is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Successful completion will enable you to become an associate member of the CIAT with the opportunity to progress to full Chartered Membership once you have gained an appropriate level of professional experience in the field.
