Description
Please note that this programme does not lead to registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) UK.
This one-year full-time programme (2 year option also available) has been developed to provide registered healthcare professionals working in a healthcare environment outside of the UK with an opportunity to top up their qualifications to first degree level.
The programme will enable individual nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists, radiographers and other registered health professionals to obtain a formal degree qualification by attending Bangor University; where graduate, lifelong learning skills together with the use of evidence based practice will be developed to enhance current professional and academic skills.
It is envisaged that by learning additional and transferable skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, students’ current professional and academic skills will be enhanced. This should increase both the overall employability and career progression of any registered healthcare professional completing the programme.
As one of the leading UK providers of education in the Healthcare Sciences, Bangor University is able to offer overseas students an exceptional learning experience which benefits not only from the practical experience of staff but also from the research strength within the school.
Bangor is located in the only truly bilingual part of the UK and overseas students will benefit from studying in a multi-lingual environment which may be similar to the environment in their home country.
